Cooking Wild book is for everyone who loves food, has a sense of adventure and always watched those big budget cooking programs wishing they could create the perfect dish top chefs present to them under the glitz, glamour and lights of TV.

I wanted to create a book of recipe’s, ideas and techniques that you can use no matter what your budget, size of cooking space or multiple ovens, hobs, microwaves and grills. This Book is designed to throw in your backpack, get dirt on the pages and delve into for ideas, inspiration, hints, tips and to feed your adventures in both food and the outdoors!

I have aimed to use as little utensils, pots, pans and cooking appliances as possible but not only that all my dishes will be prepped, cooked, plated and most importantly eaten outdoors, hopefully showing that if I can produce great tasting and great looking food in the wild you can produce it easily in the comfort of your own kitchen.

You will find no exact science, no exact measurements and no exact weights in this book. Each recipe is only a guide you can hopefully get ideas and inspiration from, and you can put your own stamp on creating your own wild dishes.

I have used as many natural ingredient’s as possible, using sustainable food sources and as fresh as possible with guides and pointers where and when and how you can find your ingredient’s if you want to avoid the big supermarkets.

To prove my point about being able to produce these dishes without unlimited resources and budgets I have cooked every one of these recipes in a different “wild” location.

So, whether it’s perched on a rocky coastal shoreline, a nature filled woodland, the summit of a Scottish mountain, a white sandy beach, the baron moorlands of a National Park right through to the bottom of my humble garden we can all eat visually appealing, delicious, and nutritious food no matter how wild the location! Each recipe will be accompanied by information on the location filmed and illustrations.
